Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The reference list and footnotes based on APA.
  • The text submitted to the Editorial Board was not published in other publishing houses
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Article types

Full-length papers, containing original research work on all topics within the scope of Scientific Letters of Rzeszow University of Technology, Mechanics are welcomed.

The content of the article
The paper should be prepared according to the following order:

  • Full author name (Name and Surname, not initials)
  • Title (avoid abbreviations and formulae where possibile)
  • Affiliation should be placed in footnotes (full institutional mailing address and e-mail), ORCID researcher ID (if applicable)
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • The main text (Introduction, material and methods, results and discussion and conclusions)
  • Acknowledgements
  • References

The abstract should be self-contained and citation-free. A total of about 100-150 words is recommended. The abstract should contain all the essential information about the paper: the aim of the work, research methodology, results and main conclusions. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or references.

Preparation of Figures

All figures must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the manuscript (e.g. Fig. 1, Fig. 2). In multi-part figures, each part should be labelled (e.g. Fig. 1a, Fig. 1b). All drawings, graphs and tables should be implemented directly within the body of the text.


Tables should be prepared using the MS Word table tool. Tables should provide new information, not duplicate text, and should be cited in numerical order in the text. Tables should be numbered consecutively according to the order in which they are mentioned in the text. Table captions should always be positioned above the tables.


If you are using Word, please use either the Microsoft Equation Editor or the MathType add-on. Equations should be editable by the editorial office and not appear in a picture format.

Units of Measurement

SI Units (International System of Units) should be used.

List of references

Crediting sources and formatting references according to the style of the American Psychological Association (APA). For APA the reference list is arranged in alphabetical order of authors' surnames. The references must be listed in alphabetical order by the names of the authors, i.e. in the usual A-Z order of the English alphabet.

If the article has a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number, it should be included at the end of the reference.

Information for authors

  1. The texts delivered to Editor cannot be published in other publishing company.
  2. Texts are accepted in the field of selected technical sciences (mechanical engineering, materials science, structural engineering, automation and robotics, thermodynamics, metallurgy, production engineering, aviation and astronautics).
  3. Languages of publication: Polish, English. Both British and U.S. English are acceptable but Authors should be consistent in their usage. Preferred size: 10-15 pages (full papers) and up to 6 pages (short papers).
  4. Authors provide the following contact details: telephone number, business address for correspondence and e-mail address. Editorial Board shall decide on an article for review.
  5. Submitted articles will be published after two favorable reviews and editorial approval. The Editorial Board reserves the right to make the necessary shortcuts, editorial corrections, including amendments arising from comments of language equalizer.
  6. Scientific Letters of Rzeszow University of Technology, Mechanics are published in electronic version. The Editorial Board of this journal are pleased to offer online publication of accepted papers prior to print publication.
