Abstract
The article presents the results of simulation studies carried out in DIALux evo software related to the effects of interior lighting methods on the level of uniformity ratio of illuminance on the defined work plane. Concepts of direct, indirect and mixed lighting of a room designed in a computer program were realized. Within each method two variants of lighting were analyzed, arranging them evenly and unequally with respect to the contour of the room. The tables show the results obtained for the uniformity ratio of illuminance values defined in the interior surfaces of work plane and compared with the values recommended by the standards of lighting. For each method of lighting the scale of the impact of the intensity distribution at the level of distribution curves of used fixtures, luminaire location of a defined work plane and barriers located in the room were analyzed. As a result of the study it has been determined that in case of small room and defined in them small calculation fields the choice of the lighting method has no significant effect on the level of uniformity ratio. Each of these methods makes it possible to obtain the lighting standard recommended value, regardless of the luminaires location relative to the outline of the room. In the case of small dimensions of the room reflection component is important in shaping the intensity distribution of a defined area. A significant impact on the value of uniformity ratio also has the size of the work plane and its shape.
