Abstract

cation as a source of clean power and heat produced in association. Biomass gasification, not only wooden biomass but also dump waste or biological waste of technological food processing, is the process which permits to produce the gas consisting of high contents of the methane, hydrogen and oxide carbon. The gas may be used in electric aggregate with additional ORC process or, after appropriate processing, may be pushed into the gas installation. Surroundings of the Zagórz is the terrain which is rich in wood resources, what was analysed in the paper. Based on results of the analyses, with initiative of Marian Hniłka in Zakład Usług Technicznych Sp. z.o.o subjected the Gmina Zagórz, the preliminary foredesign for building the gasification installation supplied by waste wood was worked out. The article incorporates the knowledge about main processes involved in waste wood gasification and product gas cleaning. Description of chosen gasification installation which was implemented with success is also presented in the article. This installation is the plant in Güssing in Austria. The choice of this installation as possible to be built in the Zasław industry zone near Zagórz was preceded with thoroughly analyse of the installations implemented in Europe so far. The article is part of the establishing of collaboration between Zakład Usług Technicznych and Gmina Zagórz that conceives the idea of installation and Faculty
