Abstract

Electricity produced in Poland mainly comes from coal. Only a small percentage of it is produced from renewable sources. Environmental protection requires significantly increase the share of renewable energy in the total energy balance of our country. One possibility is to build a small wind MEW. In the power sector is considered ass small wind turbines that which power does not exceed 100 kW. According to the URE at the end of June 2014, the total installed capacity of wind
power in Poland amounted to about 3727 MW. Of that number, 2,900 MW power plants accounted for a large output exceeding 2.0 MW with total turbines numbers of 1400 (nearly 140 wind farms). On average gyms in the power range 1,0-2 MW accounted for 500 MW with the number 300 turbines (approximately 30 wind parks). Small power plants with a capacity of 0.1-0.9 MW is 300 MW installed in about 600 turbines. the remainder of the power falls on micro turbines with a
capacity of less than 0.1 MW, the number of which is difficult to estimate. The purpose entity intending to build a small wind turbine, is the economic profit and the desire for energy independence. In this case, almost all produced energy is used by the owner. Surplus energy produced by the OZE can be sold to the power system. Note, however, that you must meet the relevant legal requirements referred to in the Energy Law. The article presents several aspects related to the
construction and connection to the grid small wind power plant.
