Abstract

The paper presents the results of own research, the aim of which was to compare the load capacity of two-Iap joints, in which the element made of polymer composite materials was connected with two steel elements. The elements were joined by adhesive bonding (adhesive joints), mechanical and hybrid (adhesive - mechanical). In the research involved using elements based on CFRP prepreg using the autoclave technique and Epidian 57/Z1 adhesive. It was found that the load capacity of hybrid joints depends significantly on the material from which the mechanical fasteners are made and on the geometrical parameters of festeners. It has also been found that the use of mechanical fasteners in a hybrid connection protects the construction node against rapid destruction in the case of adhesive joint decohesion.
