Abstract

The paper describes methods for improve the quality of brazed joints in chosen products. Particular attention was paid to the FMEA method, called failure mode and effects analysis of potential product or process incompatibilities. The main purpose of its use is the systematic assessment of the risk of the appearance of incompatibilities of process or product, including the identification of critical defects, the sources of their occurrence and planning of preventive actions. For this purpose, is calculated risk priority number RPN, taking into account: the frequency, importance and detectability of incompatibilities. After selection of the most critical of them is planned to take preventive action. In order to assess the quality of brazed joints in a selected product an exemplary FMEA was presented. The paper also presents the advantages and disadvantages of its practical application.
