Abstract

 Examining the feasibility of a number of adhesives for bonding ceramic type SiC and Al2O3 with aramid fabric Mikroflex. Proposed sample for testing the strength of adhesive bonds these materials shear and peel strength. The study showed poorer adhesion properties of SiC ceramics. However, strength tests peel found cohesive destruction of the adhesive joints on the surface of SiC ceramics. It was assumed that the cause of such destruction can be scarfing tiles made from this material. This was confirmed by numerical calculations carried out. It follows that the failure mode of the bond (adhesive or cohesive) derives not only from the surface of the adhesive properties of the joined materials and adhesive properties, but also depends on the shape and method of loading of the glue joint, which shows the stress distribution in the adhesive joint.
